Summary

CCS Net, our college WiFi Network, is accessible to all current students and staff. These instructions detail how to connect to this network from a mobile device running the Android OS.

Please note: With Android being an open source operating system, each installation may be slightly different. These instructions are to assist with WiFi configuration for the majority of Android installations, but there have been instances where some Android devices will not connect to CCS Net.

Description/Steps for Resolution

Step One – Open Settings 

From your Android device, select Settings.

StepTwo – Wireless Settings

Within Settings, select WiFi

StepThree – Access CCS Net

Select CCS Net from the list displayed.
Note: CCS Net will only be visible when you are in range of the campus wireless network.

Thereare two CCS Wireless Networks:

CCSNet

• Used for students or employees who have a CCS account
• This is preferred over GuestNet because it provides access to more CCS resources – such as printing and Remote Desktop
• Utilizes email and password combo that the user uses to log into any campus PC.

GuestNet

• Provides access to resources outside of CCS’s network ONLY – just internet browsing, no printing capabilities
• Use GuestNet for situations such as having guest presenters on campus, or for training of guests or future students who do not have user accounts. 
• The password rotates occasionally. To learn the current password, please contact the IT Support Center at 533-4357 (HELP).
